MPS scalability also allows for Generac's Bi-Fuel™ option to be utilized. This process is now micro-processor-based to maintain the optimum balance of both natural gas and diesel. Although it is controlled to never fully utilize natural gas, it does have the ability to use up to 70% natural gas and 30% diesel, as the diesel fuel is still required for combustion. Fail-safe measures have been taken into consideration that in the event of an interruption of natural gas, it automatically reverts back to diesel, in a seamless transition.
